Eating is essential in Chinese culture. There is a proverb goes

mín yǐ shí wéi tiān
literally it means “people regard eating as heaven.” So, it can be generally used to refer to “Bread is the staff of life ” or “People view food as the primary need.” I hope you can learn it well, and use it well later on.

1 肉 ròu means meat in Chinese. 牛肉 niúròu means beef，鸡肉 jīròu means chicken， 鱼肉 yúròu means fish, and 猪肉 zhūròu means pork.
2 顾客 means customers. 顾客 gùkè means 光顾的客人 guānggù de kèren (the guest who is visiting as a customer)。光顾 guānggù means visit (as a customer)的 (particle) 客人 kèren means guest.
3 饮料 yǐnliào means non alcoholic drinks. They can be 可口可乐 Kěkǒukělè, 雪碧 xuěbì，冰红茶 bīnghóngchá，or 牛奶 niúnǎi.
4 外带 wàidài means bring the food out to eat, carry out. The opposite of 外带 is 内吃 nèi chī which means eat inside or eat in.
5 就这样 jiù zhèyàng means just like this. 就 jiù means exactly, 这样 zhèyàng means this way.
6 Grammar:
1. 除了….以外 chúle ….yǐwài structure.
除了 chúle means besides / in addition to /
以外 yǐwài means beyond what has already mentioned.
Together, 除了….以外 structure means besides or in addition to.
The structure usually goes like:
除了 object 以外, subject 还/也 verb clause
chúle object yǐwài , subject hái /yě verb clause

On these usages, we are mentioning things that we have, and then besides those, we still want more. This condition we use — 除了 object 以外, subject 还/也 verb clause
So, this can be considered as positive + positive (have this, also have that)
However, if we are talking about we are not good at one things, but the other things we all can do, then we will use —
除了 object 以外, subject 都 verb clause

So, this structure is negative + positive. ( One can do one thing, but can’t do the rest things.) The meaning in two clauses are opposite to each other.
