Song background information:
凡人 is the opening-style theme for 凡人修仙传, based on the xianxia novel by 忘语, and sung by 段奥娟.
It’s basically about a “normal person” trying to walk a path of cultivation — getting hit by life, chasing something bigger, but still staying stuck in very human emotions.
Instead of sounding heroic, it feels more reflective. The lyrics keep coming back to ideas like “red dust” (real world distractions) and “mortal heart,” which is just a reminder that even if you aim for immortality, you’re still human underneath it all.
