Are you a gym goer? How often you do your workout? According to what I read there are a lot of people quit going to gym or health clubs for the following 3 reasons:

I hope that you will have persistence, and never quit exercising no matter how busy and frustrated you will be!

When I went to the gym, there were some things I saw quite interesting to me:
Once I saw a college girl was browsing her laptop while riding a stationary bike. I also saw a guy was eating a package of snack while jogging on a cross-trainer. Also many times, there were some people reading books or magazines when they were exercising. What is the funniest thing you ever saw in a gym? I bet there are a lot of odd scenes.

A lot of gym exercisers go to the gym out of habit, and as if they are on automatic pilot, they put in some time there and then go back to work or home. What’s wrong with that? That is not really wrong. As long as they understand the importance of having physical activities, then it is good. However, if they want to achieve better results then they need to focus on what they are doing and increase the quality of every movement.

If your goal is to drop weight, then workout alone is not enough. You need to watch your eating habit and limit the amount of your intake. A very good way to effectively decrease your calories is to drink a big glass of water before your meal. Liquid makes your stomach feel full easily, so you won’t eat as much as you used to.

I hope you all will harvest your goal, no matter it is losing 15 pounds or 50 pounds. Good luck and have fun doing your exercise.

Let’s learn about a quote from 茅盾 Mao Dun (July 4, 1896–March 27, 1981). 茅盾 was the pen name of 沈德鴻 Shen Dehong ( 沈雁冰Shen Yanbing), a 20th century Chinese novelist, cultural critic, and journalist. ‘Mao Dun’ (矛盾), meaning “contradiction”, Shen used it as a pen name to express the tension in the conflicting revolutionary ideology in China around the 1920s.

是中學生,一定得有這個氣魄:有一個挨得起餓,受得起凍,經得起跌打的身體,有一個不怕風吹,不會失眠,不知道什麽叫做暈眩的腦袋…… –茅盾

Being a middle school student must equip this imposing attitude:
To have a body that is able to endure hunger, suffer freezing temperature, and go through falling and hitting. Also to have a brain that doesn’t fear wind blowing, not suffer insomnia, not know what is dizziness…. Mao Dun

There is a wonderful stability ball video which is very good to train your flexibility and core muscle. Be careful with using stability balls or Swiss balls; plastic is soft, but intensive motion might cause falling and injuries. It is certainly no fun to have a sore leg or twisted waist.
