When the action took place

B: Ni3 ***shi4*** shen2 me5 shi2 hou4 qu4 tai2 bei3 ***de5***?
你*** 是 *** 什么时候 去 台北*** 的***。
When did you go to Taipei?

A: Wo3 ***shi4*** qu4 nian2 qu4 tai2 pei3 *** de5 ***.
我*** 是 *** 去年 去台北*** 的***。

All you need to do is just to replace the answer (去年) to the question phrase (什么时候) and the main sentence structure is the same.

This can also be said by omitted the shi4 and only use de5, and the meaning is all the same as the above sentence.

B: Ni3 shen2 me5 shi2 hou4 qu4 tai2 pei3 ***de5***?
