歡鑼喜鼓咚得隆咚鏘, 鈸鐃穿雲霄
huān luó xǐ gǔ dōng dé lōng dōng qiāng, bó náo chuān yúnxiāo
Joyous gongs and delightful drums are booming and clanging. The sounds of cymbals are piercing the sky.

盤柱青龍探頭望, 石獅笑張嘴
pán zhù qīng lóng tàn tóu wàng, shí shī xiào zhāng zuǐ
Coiling azure dragons are stretching their heads and watching; stone lions are laughing with opened mouth.

紅燭火檀香燒, 菩薩滿身香
hóngzhú huǒ tánxiāng shāo, púsà mǎnshēn xiāng
Red candle flames and sandalwood incenses are burning; Bodhisattva’s whole body is covered with fragrance.

祈祝年冬收成好, 遊子都平安
qí zhù niándōng shōucheng hǎo, yóuzǐ dōu píngān
To pray for a good harvest for the year and the travelers will all be safe.

歡鑼喜鼓咚得隆咚鏘, 鈸鐃穿雲霄
huān luó xǐ gǔ dōng dé lōng dōng qiāng, bó náo chuān yúnxiāo
Joyous gongs and delightful drums are booming and clanging. The sounds of cymbals are piercing the sky.

范謝將軍站兩旁, 叱吒想當年
Fàn Xiè jiāngjūn zhàn liǎng páng, chìzhā xiǎng dāngnián
General Fan and General Xie are standing on both sides and thinking their powerful those years.

戰天神護鄉民, 魂魄在人間
zhàn tiānshén hù xiāngmín, húnbó zài rén jiān
Warrior gods protect village people; their souls are in the human world.

悲歡聚散總無常, 知足心境寬
bēi huān jù sǎn zǒng wúcháng, zhīzú xīnjìng kuān
Sadness, happiness, uniting and parting are always unpredictable; knowing to be content will make one’s status of mind more unstressed.

Quotes about religion:

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”

― Mother Teresa

“Anyone who thinks sitting in church can make you a Christian must also think that sitting in a garage can make you a car.”
― Garrison Keillor

“I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish he didn’t trust me so much.”
― Mother Teresa

“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.”
― Albert Einstein, The World as I See It

“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”
― Albert Einstein

“Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man … living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you. He loves you and he needs money.”
― George Carlin

“For those who believe in God, most of the big questions are answered. But for those of us who can’t readily accept the God formula, the big answers don’t remain stone-written. We adjust to new conditions and discoveries. We are pliable. Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”
― Charles Bukowski

“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one’s weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

“Hate the sin, love the sinner.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

“God has no religion.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven..”
― John Milton, Paradise Lost

“When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That’s my religion.”
― Abraham Lincoln

“Above all else, guard your heart for it affects everything else you do.”
― Anonymous, Holy Bible: New International Version

“I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong.”
― John Lennon

“All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

“My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.”
― Dalai Lama XIV
